Badminton Europe has signed The charter of the charity organization SoliBad – Badminton without Borders on Saturday. The charter was signed at the Yonex French Open Superseries in Paris by Badminton Europe Vice President Andrey Antropov on behalf of Gregory Verpoorten, President of BEC. By signing this charter, BEC vows to help Solibad deliver their message, by offering a logo on their official website and by considering from time to time to support Solibad projects as and when they support good causes within their Member Associations.
“I am pleased with formalizing the cooperation between Badminton Europe and SoliBad. With SoliBad we have a strong partner in supporting our Member Associations should they be in the need for aid or help for causes that goes beyond traditional badminton development” said Brian Agerbak, General Secretary Badminton Europe, who was on site when the Charter was signed.

“We are delighted to have Badminton Europe as a supporter of our actions and I am sure that we’ll find original and efficient ways to make a difference in Europe as well. Europe has always been supportive of our
foundation and it is very important for us that Badminton Europe signed this charter” added Raphael Sachetat, president of Solibad
Badminton Europe is the first confederation to sign Solibad’s Charter. National Federations have signed the Charter earlier this year, such as Indonesia, Greece, Malta, Ivory Coast, Ireland, Boznia Herzegovina, Australia, Cyprus and more recently, France signed a protocole of action with the Association.
Clubs, leagues, Badminton Academies and National Federations are welcome to sign Solibad’s Charter, to make a different and to get involved with Solibad’s Charity projects, using badminton as a tool to promote the actions and do fund raising activities.
